A mercenary for hire, Ruby’s original name is Veronica. At the age of fifteen, she enlisted for the Tulsan Army to protect her father’s honour and participated in the Garzian War. She returned two years later as the only survivor of the Seventh Unit. When her hometown of Malmo was attacked and she failed to protect her family and friends, Veronica changed her name. She became Ruby the Red Lioness, the warrior with no fear. Ruby is cold and almost emotionless, but is often sarcastic. Her knowledge of the battlefield is vast, being able to wield any weapon, and she will take on any challenge. Ruby’s latest job is to kidnap the prince of Garza and escort him safely to the city of Darner. Little does she know, this will change her outlook on life forever …
Ruby is described as being the most beautiful person in the world, as she is so astoundingly gorgeous. She is tall at five foot and nine inches, with an elegant figure. She has strawberry blonde, wavy hair that goes down to her waist and mesmerising dark green eyes. Ruby also bears a crescent-shaped scar on the right hand side of her cheek. She is usually seen in an attire of a black vest underneath a pale waist and elbow-sized jacket that is usually left unzipped, black shorts, brown knee-length boots.
NATHANIEL D’ALENE
“I’m Nathaniel, but you can call me Nate. I hate such formalities.”
The only prince of Garza and heir to the throne, Nate witnessed his mother being murdered through his very eyes when he was just ten years old. Thereafter, he had a strained relationship with his father, King Leroy, and looked up to General Mercy as a mother figure. He also has a strong friendship with his loyal protector, Wyatt Timrod, whom he sees as an older brother. The young prince has ventured out of the castle before, shortening his name to Nate to hide his royal ties. He has led an isolated life inside the castle and never had many friends, but in turn this has made him very trustworthy. Nate is twenty-two years old, is six foot and one inch tall, and has dark brown hair and curious blue eyes.
